Overview
The 50-hectare Punggol Digital District (PDD) in Singapore, developed by JTC Corporation and designed by WOHA Architects, is a key component of the North Coast Innovation Corridor and plays a pivotal role in advancing Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative. Shonn Mills, while at Ramboll as a Project Director, led the Smart City and Smart technology design and implementation which included development of the Open Digital Platform (ODP) concept. Sustainability is at the heart of PDD's design. While at Web Structures, Giovanni Vigano, promoted extensive use of modern methods of construction to reduce the carbon footprint and optimize both construction time and environmental impact. He also contributed to the design of Tower 86, a timber-concrete hybrid building within PDD, which is testament to the sustainability achievements and recently won a CVU award.
