tools of Urban Regeneration
WWM participated in the Tall Building Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, supporting a wider conversation about the role of tall buildings in Asia’s rapidly densifying cities. Shonn Mills moderated the panel “Tall Buildings as Tools of Urban Regeneration,” joined by Marc Salemink of UNStudio, Florence Chan of KPF, Tony Chan of Arup and Professor Dennis Ho of SOM.
Drawing on examples including Marina Bay, One Bangkok, Thu Duc City and CityLife Milan, the discussion considered tall buildings as more than isolated skyline icons. Integrated vertical development can unlock infrastructure investment, strengthen public transport, activate the public realm and help cities respond to housing pressure, mobility constraints and climate risk—positioning density as a tool for creating safer, more connected and resilient urban districts.
